DEVICES FOR NEUROMUSCULAR TRANSMISSION INVESTIGATIONS
Apparatus and accessories for in-vivo investigation of neuromuscular transmission and contractile function in rat skeletal muscle.

Experimetria's NM-01 and NM-02 systems are designed for in-vivo investigation of neuromuscular transmission and contractile function in rat skeletal muscle. When measuring the contractile force of m. extensor digitorum longus (EDL), the animal lies on its spine; when measuring the m. soleus (SOL, the animal lies on its stomach. Using model NM-02, both legs can be measured simultaneously.
NM-01 single-leg setup includes one pad with holder, one dual-plane manipulator, two manipulators with electrodes and cables, a force transducer, bridge amplifier for measurement of contractile force, rack and power supply. NM-02 two-leg setup includes one pad with two holders, two dual-plane manipulators, four manipulators with electrodes and cables, two force transducers, two bridge amplifiers for measurement of contractile force, rack and power supply.

Experimetria's PND-01 tissue holder is designed for in-vitro investigation of neuromuscular transmission. It is an ideal tool for studying the effect of neuromuscular blocking drugs or toxic agents in environmental physiology. The special tissue holder is designed to hold a rat phrenic nerve hemidiaphragm preparation for investigation of isolated skeletal muscles. The holder features a built-in oxygenator, and electrodes permit direct stimulation of both the phrenetic nerve and the skeletal muscle.

The holder includes Teflon chamber, phrenetic nerve stimulator, diaphragm stimulator, oxygen supply tube and electrode cables. It can be used in the TSZ-02 tissue bath system with a 50 ml tissue chamber.
