Model PC-100 P-Chem System (PTI Part
Number 063-5200-A). Includes Model GL-3300 Nitrogen Laser, Model GL-302 Dye Laser, Model MP-1
Sample Compartment, Model 101-M Monochromator, Model 814 PMT Housing wired for fast direct output, R928
photomultiplier tube, special coupling optics, assembly and alignment. Requires but does
not include digital scope (or boxcar averager), computer and software. |
|

The PC-100 was carefully designed specifically
for the PChem teaching lab. It incorporates special mounting of the emission monochromator
to the sample compartment that allows the monochromator slits to be horizontal for maximum
light collection from illumination of the laser beam through the sample compartments
cuvette. The PMT housing is a multipurpose detector allowing analog, photon-counting and
direct fast readout from the anode of the PMT. In the direct out mode the user connects
the BNC signal output of the PMT housing to the 50 ohm input of the boxcar/digital scope.
The sample compartment, monochromator and PMT is mounted and aligned on a base plate to
ensure maximum alignment efficiency after testing and delivery from PTI. All the user has
to do is position the laser output at the input channel of the sample compartment. For
